Updated: September, 2014

Note, September 2014: Superintendent Douglas Heuer resigned in June, 2013. Heuer succeeded former superintendent Deb Delisle in 2008, when she became Ohio's State Superintendent of Public Instruction (2008-2011) and later Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education in 2013. In the past year the district has continued Heuer's key initiative, P.A.S.S.A.G.E (Preparing All Students for Success in A Global Economy), however much of the excellent material describing it is no longer on the district website. Some of the links below are no longer active, however many of the key district initiative documents still are acrive. - Bob

Note: I learned about CHUH in the Fall of 2011 as part of a Fielding Nair International team developing a Master Facilities Plan for the district. As part of the FNI team's Discovery Process, I studied the district's implementation plans for pathways and 21st Century learning. In my report I stated that “As implementation moves forward, I see the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District as being a national demonstration site for 21st century learning.” -- Bob, February 14, 2012
